How do I buy a copy of the Catholic Funding Guide?
Section titled “How do I buy a copy of the Catholic Funding Guide?”The Catholic Funding Guide is an online-only subscription-based resource, updated regularly with new and revised funder data.
The Catholic Funding Guide used to be a soft-cover book, but it is no longer in print, and any print copies still circulating are quite old and contain outdated information.
You may purchase a subscription to the Catholic Funding Guide from the Choosing a Plan page.
What information is provided through the Catholic Funding Guide?
Section titled “What information is provided through the Catholic Funding Guide?”The Guide contains profiles of funders with a track record of funding Catholic organizations and projects. Is the Catholic Funding Guide a grant application directory?

It helps you identify funders whose interests align with your mission so you can build funding relationships. It is not a database of open grant applications to submit to.
Funders & Data
Section titled “Funders & Data”How often is funder data updated?
Section titled “How often is funder data updated?”Funder data in the Catholic Funding Guide is curated and updated regularly to ensure you have access to current contact information, financial data, and application details.
Why do you include funders who do not accept solicitations?
Section titled “Why do you include funders who do not accept solicitations?”When the designation “does not accept unsolicited applications” appears on a funder’s profile in The Catholic Funding Guide Online, it means that the funder has checked a box on their tax return form 990. There are many reasons a funder may do this, from a stipulation in their bylaws or simply to lower the number of applications they receive.
We make the effort to include funders that check this box because often this changes from year to year, and because a particular grant seeker may wish to cultivate a relationship with them regardless.
If a funder seems right for you in other respects — geographic focus, interest areas, mission, etc. — we recommend researching them further and contacting them directly to see if they would be open to an application for your specific project.
Can funders see my organization?
Section titled “Can funders see my organization?”Yes — if you list a project. When you create and publish a project, it becomes visible to funders who use the Catholic Funding Guide. This two-way discovery is one of the unique benefits of the platform. See Creating a Project for details.
