Searching Funders
The Catholic Funding Guide gives you access to over 2,000 curated Catholic funders. The Find Funders page is your primary tool for discovering funders whose interests align with your organization’s mission.
Using the search bar
Section titled “Using the search bar”At the top of the Find Funders page, you’ll see a search bar with the prompt “What are you looking to have funded?”
Type keywords related to your project or mission — for example, “Catholic education,” “youth programs,” or “food pantry” — and click Search or press Enter. The search uses full-text matching to find funders whose profiles, mission statements, or interests relate to your terms.
Understanding search results
Section titled “Understanding search results”Results appear in a table with the following columns:
- Funder name — The name of the funder (click to view their full profile). Below the name, you’ll see the funder’s EIN and location.
- Home — The state where the funder is based.
- Assets — The funder’s total assets, with the reporting year shown in parentheses.
- Giving — The funder’s total giving amount, with the reporting year shown in parentheses.
Results are paginated. Use the navigation controls above and below the table to move between pages.
Selecting multiple funders
Section titled “Selecting multiple funders”Each row in the results table has a checkbox on the left. You can select one or more funders by checking their boxes. Once you’ve selected funders, you can add them all to a saved list at once using the Add to list button that appears above the results.
This is a convenient way to build lists of potential funders as you search and compare.
