Using Filters

Standard & Professional This feature is available on all plans.

Filters help you narrow your search results to find funders that are the best match for your organization.

On the Find Funders page, click the Refine results button to open the filter panel on the right side of the screen. When you have active filters applied, the button is highlighted in yellow so you can tell at a glance that your results are filtered.

The filter panel includes the following options:

Filter for funders that accept or do not accept unsolicited funding requests. Choose Yes or No to narrow your results.

Enter a minimum and/or maximum dollar amount to filter funders by their total assets. Both fields accept currency formatting.

Check one or more geographic regions to find funders that focus their giving in specific areas. Options are displayed in a two-column grid of checkboxes.

Check one or more interest areas to find funders whose funding priorities match your work (for example, education, social services, healthcare, or evangelization). Options are displayed in a two-column grid.

Check one or more populations to find funders that focus on specific groups (for example, youth, elderly, immigrants, or families). Options are displayed in a two-column grid.

Check one or more dioceses to find funders associated with specific diocesan regions. Options are displayed in a two-column grid.

All filters work together with “AND” logic — the more filters you apply, the more specific your results become. For example, selecting an interest area of “Education” and a geographic focus of “Midwest” will return only funders that match both criteria.

After selecting your filter options, click Apply Refinements & Close to update the search results with your filters. To start fresh, click Clear refinements to remove all active filters. You can also click Close to dismiss the panel without applying changes.

Your search parameters and filters are saved between sessions, so you’ll pick up right where you left off the next time you visit the Find Funders page.
